Why is it that so much of society finds fat people acceptable but naked people offensive?

I think complaining about how ugly fat people is, is a bad thing as well. Shouldn't fat people also have the right to walk around naked? If not you are not a true nudist. If someone is morbidly obese it might be good to kindly remind them that they should get healthy, but even that is a touchy area.
