What should i wear to a western gaming show?

I'm 14, and just starting gaming. like barrel racing, and i was wondering what the appropriate attire would be? i know your supposed to have a hat/helmet, button up shirt, jeans, and boots, but is there any way to change it up? or is it against the rules?
