If you lived close enough for him to be able to "see" the change in you,perhaps there may be a chance for another go at it. You ask if feelings can change, I believe they can however not until he would see you as the girl he fell for in the beginning, even w/ that it's not a guarantee because of the distance between the two of you.I wouldn't contact him during the summer but I would make it a point for him to see you and what you've become today, dig deep and get the girl he loved or liked back, be sober, be yourself. If it's meant to be it will be.
