Is it illegal to threaten a 'cop' if they won't show their badge at your door?

It is illegal to threaten anyone. There has been alot of home invasion, but it is a huge mistake to answer your door with a gun. I doubt very much that the man who came to your door was a cop, because if he really was, you would be in jail.
