If Citizen's United v FEC takes power away from Republicans and Democrats voter is that related to Unions?

The ruling gave the same power to unions that it gave to corporations and unions were among the biggest contributors in the last election cycle. And, of course, most of those union $$ came from taxpayer funded membership dues.
