During paternity testing, is the blood type or the alleles more important?

i want to rule someone out from being my childs father. myself and one of the alleged fathers is O-, but my son is O+. can i cross him out since 2 ppl with O- blood types cant produce an O+ child? or is there still a chance that he can be the father?
